<p>How to get that flat stomach look and get rid of big tummy, pot belly and beer belly fast?</p>
<p>By exercising your Transversus Abdominus Muscle. This is the muscle in your abdomen that holds your stomach in giving you the flat belly look. This muscle acts like a corset around<span id="more-61"></span> your tummy by holding your tummy in and if the muscle is weak, your belly will be distended more easily making your tummy looking much bigger than it should just like having a beer belly. This is one of the reasons why people have pot belly or beer belly besides simply blaming it on tummy fat. This is the muscle that can help you get that flat stomach look. If you want to get that flat stomach look, you must strengthen this muscle.
<p>Just to have a feel of how this muscle work, try blowing out all the air in your lungs and pull your tummy in. There, you have just used your transversus abdominus muscle to execute that movement. </p>
<p>Start the exercise by exhaling all the air from your lungs hard. At the same time, pull in your tummy as tight as you can and at the same time visualizing your belly button is about to touch your spine. Do breathe lightly in that position and hold the posture for about 45 seconds. Then repeat the exercise for a few more sets. You will then be teaching your abs muscle to continuously hold your tummy in giving you flat stomach look.</p>
<p>The beauty of this exercise is that you carry it out everywhere and anywhere without ever going to the gym. It is so discreet that people will not even notice you exercising even when you are waiting for the office lift or at your desk at work.</p>
<p>A more effective version of this exercise would require you to be on all fours in a crawling position. Then execute the exercise as described above except that this time, you are on your hands and feet. Do both exercises every other day and when combined with a fat loss routine of a proper diet, weight training and cardio exercises, you will get that flat stomach look in no time along with that glorious six pack abs.</p>

<p>With set routes no longer being published online, candidates will be asked to follow, for around 10 minutes, a route that they will be shown in advance.</p>
<p>However, the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) has made it clear that candidates can ask for reminders of their route as they drive and they will not be failed for going off route.</p>
<p>Another change to the test means that candidates will only have to complete one of the three reversing manoeuvres, instead of two previously.</p>
<p>Road Safety Minister Mike Penning said: &#8220;The independent driving assessment gives test candidates the chance to show they have the necessary skills to cope with the sort of traffic conditions they will face every day.</p>
<p>&#8220;Learning those skills from the very start of the driving process will help make new drivers safer.&#8221;</p>
<p>DSA&#39;s chief driving examiner, Trevor Wedge, said: &#8220;The aim of independent driving is to assess the candidate&#39;s ability to drive safely while making decisions independently. It&#39;s not a test of navigation and candidates won&#39;t be failed for going off route.</p>
<p>&#8220;The test is being improved to help produce safer drivers, but that doesn&#39;t mean it&#39;s getting any harder. We know many instructors are already teaching independent driving.&#8221;</p>
<p>The changes come as the Association of British Insurers (ABI) says the learning period for the driving test should be a minimum of a year to reduce high death and serious injury rates among young motorists.</p>
<p>According to an ABI-commissioned poll, three in four people think a 12-month minimum learning period would be the most effective step to reducing young-driver accidents.</p>
<p>The ABI said that despite a fall in the overall number of road accident casualties, more young drivers are killed or seriously injured on the roads now than 15 years ago.</p>

<p>Could anyone recommend a website or something where I could get free exercising advice. I used to be fairly over weight and I&#039;ve started to loose it lately and I&#039;m doing really well, however, I need to tone my stomach, thighs and bottom while I&#039;m dieting as I dont want excess skin etc. Has anyone got any advice?</p>

<p>I&#039;m 5 foot 4 and around 114 pounds. I&#039;m pretty sure that I&#039;m not overweight, but I want to flatten my stomach a bit more instead of having to suck in to not feel self conscious. And I heard just doing sit-ups doesn&#039;t do too much. Anybody know some other exercises that could help? Or perhaps a website with exercises?</p>

<p>It would not be wrong to say that half the people in the entire world suffer from the problem of obesity and excess weight. With the modern lifestyle becoming increasingly becoming static and no physical activity, a large number of people including youngsters below 30 years of age are becoming obese. It is observed<span id="more-49"></span> that obese people normally have an out of shape belly. Both, men and women have a common tendency of developing a large and protruding tummy. This is due to an increasing concentration of fats near the stomach area. There are several exclusive exercises which are essential for removing this bulging belly.</p>
<p>Steps to Lessen a Bulging Belly</p>
<p>There are many steps which can be successfully implemented to reduce a swollen tummy. These steps are actually known to the people, but since they are difficult to follow they are not very much implemented. The first step is to exercise perfectly and follow the exclusive stomach exercises. These exercises include brisk walking, sit-ups and abdominal crunches. Brisk walking is a great way to regulate body metabolism and burn excess fats especially belly fats. Sit-ups and abdominal crunches do not actually help in burning excess fats but are essential in strengthening abdominal muscles and flattening the bulge. Belly flattening exercises need not always be well defined. Even some normal household work and chores are great belly exercises. Work like gardening and other work which involves physical activities like bending, lifting, twisting etc are all great exercises for flattening the belly bulge.</p>
<p>To lessen excess belly fats and flatten the tummy, the individuals must be very careful of their diet. They must refrain from eating fatty and high calorie foodstuffs. They must strictly have a diet which contains lots of fresh and green leafy vegetables, fresh fruits and less oily substances. They must avoid sweets and keep it to a minimal. Individuals must avoid desserts, creamy and fried foodstuffs. These are the main causes for developing belly pouch and thus must be avoided at all costs. Excess sugar is the most important reason for developing a large tummy and hence sugars must be kept at a low minimum.</p>
<p>A reason given lately for people developing a belly pouch is the stress which has become so much a part of the modern lifestyle. It is a bit difficult to believe, but stress is a cause for obesity and developing large tummy. Increase in stress results in an increase in the level of hormone called cortisol which is responsible for developing excess and unwanted belly fats. Individuals must try to reduce stress levels and involve themselves in healthy physical activities, stress busters and recreational activities.</p>

<p>The best exercise for the stomach is probably not the one you&#8217;re thinking of. It&#8217;s not the traditional sit-up or ab crunch. It&#8217;s not even ab related.</p>
<p>So before you go out and buy the Gut Buster 2000, you should know that the best exercise you can do for your stomach won&#8217;t cost you a red cent.</p>
<p>All you need are your two feet because the exercise that I&#8217;m talking about<span id="more-40"></span> is none other than walking or jogging.</p>
<p>If you&#8217;ve found that your stomach is flabbier than you&#8217;d prefer it to be, it&#8217;s likely there are other parts of your body that need firming up as well.</p>
<p>Your body cannot just eliminate fat in one area. So if you are trying to crunch your way to a flatter stomach without exercising the rest of your body, you&#8217;ll never see results.</p>
<p>To achieve a flat stomach, your entire body has to get leaner.  Read that sentence again.</p>

<p>1) Perform 30 seconds of hard exercise (i.e. run in place as fast as you can)</p>
<p>2) Perform one minute of moderate exercise (i.e. a casual jog or brisk walk).</p>
<p>3) Repeat this process 10 times.</p>
<p>4) Cool down for 3-5 minutes</p>

<p>In addition to a healthy diet, walking and/or jogging is one of the best stomach exercises you can perform because it raises your metabolism enough to burn excess calories all over your body.</p>
